What? Neil Nitin Mukesh has been offered a ‘royal’ role in Game of Thrones!
This rumour could either be true, or a brilliant PR strategy before the big Diwali release of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!
Bollywood actor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, is happy to have the opportunity to work with Salmaan Khan. This could actually make a difference to his career. But before anything could happen, the actor told the media he has been offered a royal role in the most popular TV series ever, Game of Thrones.
The actor starring in Sooraj Barjatya’s latest film, has been offered this role by none other than the action director, Greg Powell. Greg Powell has worked on big budget Hollywood films like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast and Furious 6 and the Harry Potter series and is currently, working as the stunt director of Game of Thrones. Greg offered this role while he was working with Neil on two sword-fighting sequences for PRDP.
“Greg has directed two sword-fighting sequences in PRDP for which I had to train for over a month in order to get the stance and wrist movements right. He seemed pretty impressed with all the hard work I put in and made the offer when we were shooting for the climax scene a few months ago.” Neil Nitin Mukesh told Mirror.
The actor has also told that someone from the show’s production team will come down by the month-end to have further discussions.
Neil will be playing a royal’s role in the series and will have some action-packed scenes too. “I play a royal in both and also feature in combat scenes,” said Neil.
About Greg Powell, Neil says, “He is extremely humble and professional. I feel honoured that I got to work with him.”
GoT is popular for its nudity, sex and most importantly, the deaths of the most loved characters. Will Neil be OK acting nude on the show? “I have gone nude for Jail, so why not for this? I am okay with it if it’s required for my character. I am not intimidated by it as an actor.” said Neil.
Neil’s favourite characters on the show are Khaleesi, Jon Snow and the Imp. We hope that the rumours about his appearance on our favourite show are real and he gets to work with his favourite characters.
Just like every other big announcement and news, this time too Twitterati couldn’t stop themselves from tweeting about the shocking news. They of course, trolled the Indian actor with three names. ;)

Of course, this was nothing but a rumour. HBO has confirmed GoT makers have not offered any role to Neil. Greg Powell has nothing to do with Game of Thrones and he is not working on the series. Moreover, HBO is not going to cast any actor this late. The shows shootings usually end by November/early December. TheGrumpyFish
