How to lock your Windows 10 PC using a shortcut

Step 1: Head to the desktop on your Windows 10 system and click anywhere on the blank area to bring up a new drop down menu. From the drop down menu that pops up on your screen, select the “New” option.

Step 2: Once you’ve clicked on the “New” option, select “Shortcut” to begin with the process of creating a new shortcut that allows you to lock your PC.

Step 3: A new window that reads “Create Shortcut” will pop up on your screen. Type the following text under  “type the location of the item” textbox and continue with the process.

Step 4: Once done, click next and name your newly created shortcut. Since this shortcut is meant to Lock your PC we are using “Lock PC” name but you can use anything you want.
