WTF! This girl blew up her college fund of $90000 on a trip to Europe and clothes

Most of us did not study in our favourite college or study our favourite course due to a lack of money. What if we told you you can spend $90000 on your studies, what will you do? Probably get an admission in the biggest college of your country and take up the expensive course you always wanted to take. But that isn’t what 22-year-old Kim did.

With a hefty college fund of $90000 that Kim’s grand parents saved for her to cover her tuition fees for all 4 years, Kim could study without any issues, but she is $20000 short in her final year. Why? The girl took a trip to Europe during her college break and of course, spent some money on buying fashionable clothes.

The girl who blew up her college fund of $90000 which any kid in the US would die for, came on Atlanta-based radio broadcast “The Berts Show”, last week to share her misery. As she described how she blew up the money she said,

I also included that budget for school clothes… and college break money… I probably should have not done that… I took a trip to Europe… The Europe thing I thought was part of my education and that’s how I tried to justify that.

Kim also blamed her parents for not teaching her how to budget.

Maybe they should have taught me how to budget a little more carefully… They never sat me down and had like a real serious talk about it… They said there was nothing they could do to help me anyway… They’re not being honest with me and saying they don’t have [money], because my dad has worked for like a million years, and they have a retirement account.

The 22-year-old has no idea how she will pay for her final $20000. When the show’s Co-host Jeff Dauler advised her to take up a part time job, which he  himself did  for 3 years in his early days, she replied, “That’s embarrassing.”

Kim continued talking about her parents,

I know they’re trying to teach me a lesson and blah, blah, blah and character building but, like, I hope they realize [working part-time] could have such a negative effect on my grades and as a person.

Taking the advice from the show’s hosts, Kim offered her parents to loan her the money that she will pay off later without interest, but her parents refused her offer and told her they will only cosign a loan on one condition, she has to get a job.

She called on the show again on Thursday and told the hosts that she has not been able to find a job and that she is hustling for one desperately. Before leaving she promised that she will make this work.
